Providing You With Quality Childcare Since 1997...

Future Scholars Daycare Centre was established in November 1997 to enrich the quality of care in our community and provide parents with a high quality Early Childhood Program. Future Scholars is licensed by the Early Learning Division, Ministry of Education and is routinely inspected by the Health Department, Fire Department and licensing officers from the Ministry of Education.

Future Scholars Daycare Centre is a proud bearer of the Reader's Choice Awards “Favourite Daycare in Georgetown” for nine years in a row. Future Scholars has also won the Association of Early Childhood Educator’s Outstanding Program of the Year Award.

Our main goal at Future Scholars is to meet or exceed your child’s and family’s needs and we hope to welcome you to the centre soon!

Our Statement of Philosophy

Childcare is a positive, supportive setting where all children, parents, and professionals can learn and cultivate together.

All children have the right to grow and develop in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. We strive to support the well-being and development of all the children in our care - intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. We will encourage the development of independence, sense of responsibility, self confidence, and respect for others. This will be developmentally appropriate to each individual child. All children are individuals with their own unique needs.

All children deserve to feel accepted, loved, and valued. High self-esteem comes from positive experiences with life and love. It is based on a child’s belief that he/she is accepted, lovable, and valued. How they feel about themselves affects how they learn and how they live their lives.

All children are entitled to full enrolment, participation, and support. We embrace inclusion and celebrate diversity and as a result, no family will be excluded from our program because of race, culture, language, health needs, socioeconomic background, beliefs, family composition, or ability, as long as we are able to meet their needs.

Our Staff

Our team of professionals are highly qualified and extremely caring. All staff have been trained to meet our high standards of care with educational achievement. Every classroom is headed by a Registered Early Childhood Educator who must register annually with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Additional staff include: Registered Early Childhood Educators, Teaching Assistants, a Chef, Driver, and Cleaner. All staff are thoroughly screened; references are checked, and all staff must complete a criminal reference check and undergo a health and physical examination prior to joining the Future Scholars team.

Our Centre Director and the School Age Supervisor have obtained Director’s approval from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and are appointed to be responsible for the day to day operations of the daycare center/School Age Program. The centre director supports high quality childcare in which professional, program, staff, team development, community, family/home involvement, and childcare advancements are of the highest priority.

Our warm and talented staff is looking forward to providing a safe, healthy and stimulating service that will provide guidance and learning experiences to further your child’s growth and development.
