Our Daycare Program
Here at Future Scholars we are pleased to offer a Daycare program for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers.
The daycare program is designed for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Children newborn to 18 months will be placed in the Infant classroom. For more information specific to the Infant program, please click here.
Children aged 18 to 30 months will be placed into the Toddler Classroom, and children 30+ months to 4+ years will be placed into the Preschool Classroom.
We offer both full-time and part-time programming to suit your family's needs.
All of our daycare programs follow a structured daily schedule with set routines and expectations. Each program has learning goals for the children. Each group of teachers have developed a program that will support our philosophy and goals. Our programs include creative/crafts, music, outdoor gross motor, cognitive theme circles and/or academic workbooks, story time, and rest period (daycare program only). Each classroom has learning centres such as blocks, dramatic, science, sensory, books, floor/table toys, and fine motor activities.
Our program offers monthly parent calendars, newsletters, Quality First news, parent resources, and more! All children have individualized program plans which monitor development, achievement, and goals. Parent-teacher interviews are offered quarterly to discuss your child’s strengths, progress, and goals. Each classroom is equipped with personalized cubby holes/hooks and mailboxes for each child.

Food and Nutrition
Our chef prepares our own breakfast, lunch and snacks. Future Scholars provides healthy, homestyle and multicultural meals for young children. The menu varies in selection and is served according to a four-week rotating schedule. Future Scholars also modifies meal plans to accommodate all food allergies and religious food restrictions. Meals are prepared daily onsite in our peanut/nut-free and shellfish-free facility. The menu meets the Canadian Food Guide, Child Care and Early Years Act (2014) and all municipal criteria in the Greater Toronto area.
Menus are posted throughout the centre and outside of the kitchen. Copies of the menu are available to parents at all times.
